Well, it is my work connection… but fortunately there really aren't any restrictions on what it's used for (within reason, of course!). I'm fortunate to have 50 down 12 up at home too.
+Stuart Dyckhoff that's nothing to sneeze at. I still remember my high school connecting to the local college's system via teletype running over an acoustically coupled modem at 300 bits per second… And in about 1988, returning from a Vegas computer show ecstatic about the crazy-fast new 14.4kbps modem I bought there…
Yup I remember those days only too well. The first (and only) BBS I ran initially opened with a blazingly fast 1200/300bps – then I got a Hayes 2400baud modem before coughing up the frankly ridiculous sum of £500 for a v32bis+ modem from US-Robotics and that was half price because I was a sysop.
LOL that's a sweet connection you have there Dave. I feel the same when my children aren't at home sucking away all my bandwidth.
I'm jealous.

I think I'm getting 25 down and 2 up.
My down hovers around the 69mb when not on wifi but drops to 50 and a airily steady 16mb up. I'm happy with that …..for now 🙂

BBS, dial up modems….you guys are taking me back.
The Dial Up Noise
The college students I teach don't recognize that sound.
That's a shame. Â Such an iconic sound.
I now feel old.
I refuse to be old +Erik Hirner and I'm bringing my 3 children (23, 13 & 11) up to recognise these things … 😉
I refuse to be old +Stuart Dyckhoff….but every once in awhile, something comes along that reminds me I'm not as young as I want to be.
