I'm not usually a fan of airport art… much of it seems like a lot of money spent for "what the heck is that?" …but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Samson 'sculpture' in Sacramento's Terminal A baggage claim area (there are two of these side by side)…
It's my understanding that this was built from real lost luggage, and I always wonder about the stories behind the people who used to own these…

I kind of dig that. Very creative.
Title: unclaimed baggage
What a funny story….If the brown one on the right is yours hummm how exactly are you going to get it back without have in pile of luggage fall on your head? lol 😉
Dang! It looks like it's holding the ceiling up. o_O
+Adrian J Nyaoi, that would make sense… The official title (on a small plaque on one of the two baggage carts) is 'Samson' which I assume is a reference to the biblical story of Samson standing between two pillars holding up a building, and pushing them down, collapsing the building. In the center of the baggage are actually load-bearing pillars.
+Krystina Isabella Brion Actually, it is 😉 The baggage hides a load-bearing column.
Jenga, anyone?
Sure, you go first 🙂
Even more inpressive ヅ Lol.. very creative on their use of 'unclaimed baggage' to hide an eyesore and great capture on yours!
lmao @ +Dave Bell good luck! 😉
That's pretty awesome
+Stephan Bollinger I think it's one of the more creative airport art pieces I've ever seen 🙂
that is so cool…!!
