Here in the Napa Valley, we usually get the wild mustard blossoms carpeting the dormant vineyards in late January… This year, due to the lack of rain until February, things are coming in a bit late…
Now all we need is a couple of days of sunshine to get our full-scale yellow overload!

Dave Good!bravo!
<— has trouble comprehending any photo that doesn't have snow in it… nice shot though! 🙂
+Gary Munroe lol same here….. We just got 5 more inches yesterday. Spent the evening plowing driveways. Doesn't leave much time for creative photography when it's this cold either, -30℃ or -22℉. Hopefully this is our last stint of Cold!
+Dave Bell that is very intriguing, a plant that I've never seen. Although it looks similar to a weed we have around here…..
Very lovely!!
Love the colors!! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with the #LandscapePhotography theme!! +Margaret Tompkins
+Gary Munroe & +Ryan W …I do feel blessed to live where we don't get long months of cold… but I also miss out on a lot of marvelous winter scenes that I've seen posted by many in the colder areas 😉
+Ryan W I suppose that some might consider this to be a weed… it is not a 'crop' that is harvested, and it springs up all over in random places… but I have also heard that there are some benefits to the soil in the vineyards to have it there…
Thanks so much for stopping by +Tamara Pruessner (I've been delinquent in my FF posts in recent weeks)…
Thank you too, +Cergei Mironov +Margaret Tompkins +Landscape Photography
+Dave Bell Maybe it's the same thing as we have…? I'll have to look into that.
+Ryan W There's a bit more info on 'weed vs. cover crop' at http://ucanr.edu/blogs/blogcore/postdetail.cfm?postnum=6461
+Dave Bell nice to meet you!
wonderful pictures
thanks in this one also for the added information "weed or covercrop"
best greetings to you
A beautiful scene!
Great colors and view…
+Dave Bell thanks for the information! Just looked up some closer photos of the plant and I see that it is indeed very different than what we get up here is Saskatchewan, Canada.
