The Napa Valley gets carpeted with wild mustard flowers every January…bringing color back to the valley after all the leaves have fallen. There's something fun about flowers blooming in the middle of winter!
Just a quick shot with my trusty Samsung….

Early! we may drive over!
Yes, +Bill Ries-Knight, it's worth a drive through the valley. This is at the north end of Silverado Trail near Calistoga, but Yountville Crossroad has quite a bit too.
+Dave Bell Is there a cheap place to catch lunch anymore? It's been 20 years since I worked at #StagsLeap.
Napa has Chipotle and Panera Bread at Trancas and highway 29. Once you come up the valley though, for cheap eats there's not much other than A&W and Guini's in St Helena. (Guini's has great sandwiches )
This is beautiful (and my favorite color). I remember seeing this when I was there a few years ago but didn't know what it was. Thanks for naming it. 🙂
Clearly all Canadians would say……"This not the middle of winter!!" LOL
But it is beautiful to see flowers in January. :0)
Wow,really? Its Spring up there?
Genova's Deli in Napa is far better than the other recommendations….
Our color here in central Ohio is…white.
Want to trade? LOL
Wow…already? We still got freezing temperature here. I really need to consider moving to the west coast…lol
+Angelika Perry It happens every January…after we get a bit of rain, and then get a few sunny days… We have some Camellia bushes in full bloom in our front yard too (also a regular January event!).
