This 100-ft tall spiral staircase leads visitors down to a platform 165 ft below the surface at Moaning Cavern in Northern California. It was arc welded in 1922 using recovered steel from a World War 1 battleship.
Many beautiful natural cave features to enjoy.

Such a cool place. I haven't been here for many many years.
It's still a cool place, +Majeed Badizadegan, I'd like to try one of their adventure tours someday.
That sounds like a place I would like to see,;)
I'm going to try and make time to go on my birthday – I think they give you free admission!
Cool shoot Dave!
It's quite beautiful inside, +Elizabeth Hahn, and if you want to be more adventurous, you can rappel down through a hole near the center of the 'ceiling' of the room.
+Dave Bell I went to one of them many many many years ago. I can't remember is it was Moaning Caverns or California caverns. I also want to go back to Black Chasm one of these days.
I'll likely skip the repelling though!
Wow, that is one scary looking staircase… but so cool at the same time. I would have gotten claustrophobic down there…LOL
Awesome!
