Sisters

A #blastfromthepast  from about 1934. Grandpa liked to shoot both still and 16mm movies.
My mom is on the right, with big sister cradling little sister.
This pic also includes a bit of play with the very cool new Nik Analog Efex Pro plugin that is now part of the fabulous +Nik Photography  collection.

  1. I never understood the value of old photographs until I got older. I still have a box of old pictures of my family in my closet. I guess at some point I should scan them in to preserve them. 🙂

  2. +Angelika Perry, those old photos become very precious when the people are gone… we lost my mom to a long degenerative illness a few years agi… so going through these old pics help with feeling connected. I would suggest starting to scan them sooner rather than later before they deteriorate.
And BTW, I learned from the process that years down the road, no one will really care much about the vacation shots of locations if there's no one recognizable in them… unless you're doing fine-art non-portrait photography, get family and friends into the frame!
