First of the Season

————————————
Christmas day, heading out to my parents' place to celebrate with other family members who live nearby…
…and on my way out the front door, I noticed the first camellia bloom had opened on the front walkway. There are many more buds yet to open, to bridge the gap between the faded colors of fall,  and the flowers and leaves that will wait 'til spring.

  1. +Angelika Perry we could do with some precipitation of any kind…only one day that brought less than an inch of rain over a month ago, and practically nothing before that since last spring. It's beautiful weather… but reservoirs are very low and everything is bone dry. I'm ready for a good storm!
