Snow finally comes to Vikingsholm

——————————–
We've been in severe drought conditions in California, but we're finally getting some relief this weekend.
This is my wonderful wife, at the edge of Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe (Vikingsholm is the 38-room mansion built here in the 1920s).
After the mile-long hike back up to the parking area, the snow really started coming down in earnest… we may have a foot of it by morning.

Don't get me wrong…I have been loving the gorgeous weather over the past couple of months… but our reservoirs are at their lowest levels in decades and we've got a lot of catching up to do!
