This arrived in the mail today… but it somehow seems so retro that it belongs in +Blast From The Past
I think it will take its place next to the fireplace as crumple-up kindling to start a nice evening fire when cooler temperatures come back this fall…

Oh I just put those right in the recycling bin ! this is a fun share +Dave Bell :))
I had no idea they still put out phone books anymore.lolol
+Isabelle Fortin I'm surprised that companies still pay exorbitant fees to be listed in these!
+Dave Bell I think they should ship them only to people who want them, let's say they request them on the Yellow pages website or something.
I have not looked in one in years. They did a survey here in town. 42% of the people no longer have land lines.
I used to keep those next to my collection of 8-track tapes 🙂
I still get 2-3 a year. I keep one just "because". The others go straight to recycle bin. I do occasionally use it to look up something.
But the random access file system is quick to navigate, no one is tracking what you're looking for, and you don't have to worry about dead batteries!
+John Balboni I'm having trouble figuring out how the star rating system works in this interface…
+Dave Bell Hint: use a Sharpie!
Ha that is great!
Amazingly we still have these and use them from time to time!
