Campanile is just a fancy word for bell tower… but this was the first time the church in my small town decided to light up the 140-ft-tall structure for Christmas, along with a live nativity scene, and, of course, caroling, cookies and hot chocolate.

Neat! Did they hide a cell tower in the structure? I recently saw a cell tower disguised as a bell tower in Florida.
+John Balboni I know that many churches get some extra income from leasing the use of steeples and other towers. This one happens to be near the bottom of a hill that rises several hundred feet…and the college here leases space to Verizon on a tall tower at the top of the hill.
