I'm not sure which national park this is from…it's before I was a twinkle in mom & dad's eyes! Circa 1957 I think…shortly after they were married.

Awesome! :)… what a great shot from the past.
Thank you +Cheryl Cooper +Mark Rodriguez +Jeff Moreau
Dad always took the family pictures…I haven't a clue who snapped this one! Perhaps he asked a stranger…
(I was really tempted to add a bear peeking out from behind the tree.. 😉
Hmm, color film back in '57?
Or did you paint this?
Was your Dad ever a captain?
😉
Yes, scanned from color slide film…but I did tweak the saturation
Incredible photograph! I love her shoes and their smiles!
+Wray Post he was never a captain (nor a pirate :-), but he did do a stint on the USS Enterprise in the early '60s as a civilian… an electrical engineer for Hughes Aircraft, where he he helped develop new radar systems.
Great picture. My parents kept their camera in the desk drawer for most of their youth and my childhood. And by 1957, my parents had already twinkled. Thanks for sharing.
great looking parents +Dave Bell I love to see the clothes and hairstyles, so cool !
+Stephen Berlin Isn't it nice to be able to see all those shots from years gone by? I'm fortunate that even grandpa was a shutterbug, and we have pics of mom from age 1.
+Isabelle Fortin Isn't it fun to see the old styles? I work at a college, and the building I work in has pictures of graduates going back to the 1920s (including my grandfather in 1931).
For some reason, and I'm not sure it's just hair and clothes, they look so much older than than the 22-year-olds that graduate these days 🙂
OMG yes, +Dave Bell that is so true, it's like they grew up as little adults !
