I've been thoroughly enjoying the fabulous posts from +Annette Biggers & +Karen Hutton from our unforgettable day of pirate-hunting on Emerald Bay.
Coaxing Annette onto G+ and then pointing these two creative geniuses toward each other is, perhaps, my proudest G+ moment 😉
I, along with my sweet wife +Susan Bell, can't wait until the next opportunity to get together for more shooting, chatting, laughing, and pondering life in general…thank you for being such amazing friends!
As a photography hobbyist, I've learned so much this past year…but I still have a lot of room to grow. I want to thank all of those here on G+ who have spent so much time mentoring and encouraging the many budding photographers in this fabulous community.
Special shout-outs to the seemingly tireless work of +Ron Clifford +Sandra Parlow +Tamara Pruessner & +Chrysta Rae

Wow, what a fantastic shot and an obviously fantastic day!
Arrr, tis' me next move to find the bloody ship!
😉
Well made +Dave Bell
+Wray Post, ah yes… where is that ship hiding?
(BTW, you are welcome to believe that this pic is of me too 😉
LoL
Of course I will 😉
Nice tribute +Dave Bell love the shot! 🙂
Thank you so much for the mention Dave! I appreciate it – and there are so many people who contribute so much to the community. It kinda makes you want to give back… Cool shot, btw!
My pleasure, +Sandra Parlow. I know you spend countless hours helping others here, and I really appreciate it.
BTW, I'm wondering what others are finding to be the best upload settings… I'm at 2048 on the long edge exporting from Lightroom…looks fine after export, but it seems like G+ is messing things up a bit in compression… particularly with banding in the sky.
I have no idea.. I just reduce my resolution to 100 and go with that…. *shrug*
and thank you again, Dave. It's always nice to know that people notice and appreciate things 😉
Awh, thanks for the shoutout!
As for what I upload… I do 800px on the longest side and 72 dpi. 🙂
This is really wonderful view…love this one..
