A #blastfromthepast from about 1934. Grandpa liked to shoot both still and 16mm movies.
My mom is on the right, with big sister cradling little sister.
This pic also includes a bit of play with the very cool new Nik Analog Efex Pro plugin that is now part of the fabulous +Nik Photography collection.

I never understood the value of old photographs until I got older. I still have a box of old pictures of my family in my closet. I guess at some point I should scan them in to preserve them. 🙂
I still have not receive the update to my Nik Collection. try to be patient Joe, try to be patient
Just download the free trial +Joe Frazee of the bundle and install. I will install the Analog Pro to the software if you already have the licensed version.
+Angelika Perry I read about that but I'm trying to be patient about it. Trying NOT to look like the guy who push in front of the line. LOL
Nice scan +Dave Bell! I wasn't aware of an update to Nik. Will have to check their web site.
great share +Dave Bell and i love what you did with the processing too 🙂
Analog is perfect for this! Thanks for sharing Dave 🙂
Oh you made this even more wonderful
+Angelika Perry, those old photos become very precious when the people are gone… we lost my mom to a long degenerative illness a few years agi… so going through these old pics help with feeling connected. I would suggest starting to scan them sooner rather than later before they deteriorate.
And BTW, I learned from the process that years down the road, no one will really care much about the vacation shots of locations if there's no one recognizable in them… unless you're doing fine-art non-portrait photography, get family and friends into the frame!
Thanks so much for stopping by, +Joe Frazee +Isabelle Fortin +Blast From The Past.
…and +Laurie Rubin, I can see that Nik Analog Efex Pro is going to be a lot of fun!
