What's not apparent here is that we were completely stopped…and it took over an hour to go one mile…3 cars piled up blocking the road (no injuries). I've done my fair share of snow driving, but even antilock brakes were no match for the ice on the road surface.
Ooh, scary! I hate driving on ice. I tend to be a little over cautious because being from Seattle we didn't get much and I'm not used to it. It's the people who are out of their gourd crazy driving around me that make me nervous. Going on the road with my husband, I have seen far too many accidents, some of them fatalaties, to not be careful…and hate ice. Glad you made it home safely, even if it did take you forever. :0)
