From about 1969 I think

for this week's #blastfromthepast , these are my parents. They played oboe and flute together for over 45 years, doing duets, and sitting side by side in countless symphony orchestra rehearsals and concerts. Mom taught flute lessons on the side while raising 3 rambunctious boys…dad was (is) an engineer and professor.
We lost mom about 8 years ago, but dad continues to regularly play his oboe and english horn at a variety of events each year.. well into his 70s.

  1. Wow and I thought I treat myself to going to the hair salon ever three months.. LOL Seems like it took way more to upkeep back then. I have some pictures of my mother wearing a similar style..
Thanks for sharing +Dave Bell; they really truly look like a happy couple and it's great they both had such love for music.

  2. ROFL +Roni Delmonico and you not getting away that quickly! You can't just start something and run away…. hahahaha

Well… (before Roni started it..) I was going to ask if maybe that salon is a special one +Dave Bell cause I honestly never thought about getting my "weekly tease" from a hair salon… hahahahahaha
