We are on DAY TWO of REVEALS from the 2013 Summer round of the +Chrysta Rae Photography Scavenger Hunt!!!
What is the photography scavenger hunt?
Only the most fun you can have with your camera!!I host this event every season for anyone of any level of photography to participate.
I open the game up to 500 Photographers
I give you 10 items to shoot
I give you 2 months to shoot and enter your photos.
Then I have them judged by amazing photographers
(this round's judges were +Alan Shapiro, +Barry Blanchard, +Chris Chabot, +dene' miles, +Jacob Lucas and our winner from last round, +Derek KindI then open the albums up to the public – which is this stage.
Later today I will be posting the winners from this album.
There are 10 categories: This is the "*POPSICLE*" album, (see my photo galleries to find "SUNBURN" revealed yesterday.)This event is an amazing way to use your camera in new ways.
It gets you seeing things in new ways.
It helps improve your photography skills, gives you a huge audience, and let's everyone celebrate each other's successes.The group of "scavengers" that participate create a community unlike any other on G+. Support, encouragement friendships even some #huntsmack is enjoyed.
We become a family over the course of the round.This is a negative-free zone – I have zero tolerance for any critiques that are uninvited.
Please be respectful and remember that every person went out there and took the time to shoot these images

Prepare to have your socks blown off by my guest today!!
I've got the backstory on my blog today: http://goo.gl/yNDwKV... but suffice it to say that Red is one of my favorite people on the planet!Red's artistry leaves me dumbfounded. Her way of seeing the world, of using this huge variety of the most unlikely seeming materials for her work, the way she has carved out her own corner of the Universe at such a young age are all just so inspiring and delightful! And so is she.
Despite all the hiccups in making this happen – and the loooong gap between my asking her to do an OnAir Hangout with me and our actually pulling it off… she was all smiles and fun when it FINALLY happened. I adore Red – and I think you will too!!!

About this photo. Well, I wrote my REAL thoughts about this photo on my blog today: http://blog.karenhutton.com/?p=3204. I named the post "Painted Skies of the Divine", and talk about sunsets, epiphanies and the power of thought. For some reason, can just write about that stuff easier on my blog than here. Not sure why exactly, just reporting how it's been unfolding. So I'm really not trying to trick anybody into going over there… but I do find that a different kind of post happens there than here sometimes. This is one of those times.Anyhow, I shot this last week on the same day as the double rainbow I posted here: http://goo.gl/cetrHd. This was later, when I'd driven up the driveway to get closer to the winery. They had the sweetest set up, with their huge organic garden and 4' row of gerbera daisies. The color was everywhere from the sunset – and even my local friends Susie and +Dave Bell said this was an unusual color for the area. I was transported by the warm, moist air, the crickets and peaceful feeling everywhere… and those colors!!! Siiiiiigh.
