Well Ok…But I'll Only Pose For One Shot

We get the occasional California Gray Squirrel running around in our backyard redwood tree, but they're very skittish and it seems like every time I pull out the camera, they dash to the other side of the tree, then off down the hill. 
  I managed to get this guy to pose for one quick shot before he was off…

While everything else seems to have the good sense to wait until spring, the camellias around here seem to prefer to bloom in January…
   *This particular color seems to vary by particular screen/monitor more than most. It's amazing how different it looks on several of my devices.

River Respite

A #blastfromthepast  from about 1968… not sure where this is.. perhaps along the way on our cross-country trip from California to Mississippi.. 
Mom, my older brother…and yes, that's me on the right… 
Where did that blond hair go??? I've still got plenty, but it's dark.
