Kodak in Dreamland …

I processed another one of my "Kodak in Dreamland" series photos. This was photographed with an infrared-converted camera I rented from +LensRentals.com, and processed to bring color back to +Kodak Matiash's fur. Now I just need to convert one of my own cameras to IR so I can make more of these!

  I just had a couple of fabulously fun days shooting with +Ron Clifford in San Francisco and at the marvelous +Castello di Amorosa in the Napa Valley.
  I discovered this bud in the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park, and thought it would be perfect for #floralfriday

A Fabulous Morning Hike in our Back Yard

It was so much fun to have +Ron Clifford & +Cheryl Clifford visiting from Toronto for a few days.
We spent an entire day yesterday at the wonderful +Castello di Amorosa (photos from that still to be edited!).

I call this "Our Back Yard" because this lovely overlook Inspiration Point is part of the 1800 acres of undeveloped forest and meadow land that belongs to the small private college where I teach for my 'day job', full of hiking and mountain-biking trails.

Had such fun with +Ron Clifford & +Cheryl Clifford shooting all over this wonderful place in the Napa Valley… can't wait to do it again!

2014 SPRING FLING round of the +Chrysta Rae Photography Scavenger Hunt!!!

What is the photography scavenger hunt?
Only the most fun you can have with your camera!!

I host this event 4 times a year and invite anyone of any level of photography to participate.
I open the game up to 500 Photographers
I give you 10 items to shoot 
I give you around 2 months to shoot and enter your photos.
Then I have them judged by amazing photographers
(this round's judges were +Alan Shapiro +Colby Brown +Gordon Laing +Barry Blanchard +Brian Hynes, and our winner from last round, +Stefan Riss)

I then open the albums up to the public – which is this stage.
Later today I will be posting the winners from this album.
There are 10 categories: We are starting with the "*LATHER*" album.

This event is an amazing way to use your camera in new ways. 
It gets you seeing things in new ways.
It helps improve your photography skills, gives you a huge audience, and let's everyone celebrate each other's successes. 

The group of "scavengers" that participate create a community unlike any other on G+. Support, encouragement  friendships even some #huntsmack is enjoyed. 
We become a family over the course of the round. 

This is a negative-free zone – I have zero tolerance for any critiques that are uninvited. 
Please be respectful and remember that every person went out there and took the time to shoot these images 
and put thought into them and tried their best.

It's a No-Go on the Landing Gear Maneuver

Mission control, the attempt to bounce the left gear out of the locked position has failed…requesting a go-round for one more attempt.
Have the emergency services crew on hand if we can't get that other gear down!

If there was such a theme as #seagullbuttsaturday  or even #seagullphotography  or #seagullbuttshots , these fine folks might be contacted as potential curators ;-P
