Northern California Man Struggles to Cope with the Great Blizzard of 2015—————————————–
It has dropped below 70 degrees, I'm seriously considering putting on a long-sleeve shirt.
Seriously though, I feel for those who will be in a real mess for the next few days… many will go without power or heat and have no way to get anywhere. I'll be sending up a prayer for you all!

The camellia bushes that grow along our front walkway go crazy with blooms every January. We live in the house that my parents lived in for 21 years, and the camellias remind me of mom…she loved them so much.

The Napa Valley gets carpeted with wild mustard flowers every January…bringing color back to the valley after all the leaves have fallen. There's something fun about flowers blooming in the middle of winter!

If you want a chance to see it yourself, you need to visit when the sun goes down early so the lights come on before closing time.

This is one of the Camellia blooms currently in my front yard…. it's just so weird to see shrubs full of buds and blooms at the beginning of winter. That's one of the things I love about California–no matter what time of year it is, it seems like something is blooming!
