An Evening at The Castello

I love the castle courtyard in the evening. I could sit here and ponder times gone by for hours!
If you want a chance to see it  yourself, you need to visit when the sun goes down early so the lights come on before closing time.
This is at the +Castello di Amorosa in the Napa Valley

The King and Queen at the Gate

There are so many fun things that can be done with the scenery in and around the +Castello di Amorosa near Calistoga in the Napa Valley. We had fun with this couple in various spots… this is right at the front gate entrance.
  If you ever get a chance to visit the castle, it is well worth your while to take the tour.

The Special Stuff is Just Surreal

Surreal, you say? Well, have you been down here?
This is where they keep the special stuff..behind a locked gate deep in the caves beneath the +Castello di Amorosa. Reserve, they call it…I imagine reserved for the King and Queen!
It is dark and eerie down here, with a hint of mystery and atmosphere  of centuries gone by, and it feels almost like you're peering into the past. 

If you ever get the opportunity to take the castle tour here in the Napa Valley, it is well worth the trip!

Deep below the brick, stones, and mortar of the gorgeous +Castello di Amorosa are hallways going out in all directions just loaded with barrels and barrels of the fruit of the vine… You'll get a glimpse of a fraction of it on the castle tour…it's quite the amazing operation!
