Although many things are dormant this time of year, our front-yard Camellias think that January is the perfect time to show their stuff.
I always think to myself… 'Where flowers are blooming, spring can't be that far away…'
. It's been a while since I've posted anything here. Chronic headache has kept me completely worn out. Latest diagnosis is that I'm leaking….leaking cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Not confirmed yet, but on Jan 18 they did a lumbar puncture with CT scan to see if they could find a leak. As of yet, no results from my doctors.

We have a 'standard' path for our morning/evening walks… 
Well, we reversed the route, and noticed these lovely Evening Primrose flowers that I hadn't noticed going the other way.
… take the time once in a while to alter your route, and look for new things along the way!

I found this lovely rose in the gardens of Golden Gate Park not too long ago, and have enjoyed finessing it different ways in post.
Does anyone else find post-processing flowers to be very relaxing??

I Found the Q-Tip Factory!

Thanks to a prior post by +Robin Griggs Wood, I had enough hints to scout out the location where they grow the Q-Tips, and verified it on my morning walk today. This set is near ready to harvest.

They've been together since they were just little buds…and though the march of time has started to reveal a wrinkle or two (or three), they are still hopelessly in love, and obviously will be inseparable until their dying days.

Do Foxes Really Wear These?

I've never seen a fox wearing gloves… it seems rather silly… particularly when these are only available in late spring when the weather is much too warm to be bothering with gloves….
…oh well…yet one more thing I don't understand about floriculture…
