If you haven't yet watched this week's The Chat with +Karen Hutton

If you haven't yet watched this week's The Chat with +Karen Hutton
…what are you waiting for? It's a perfectly bite-sized 15 minutes long.
The amazing +Kalebra Kelby was her guest… and this gives even more proof of how awesome both of these wonderful women are!

THE CHAT with Karen Hutton: and +Kalebra Kelby!!
On my blog: http://bit.ly/15hB0Ib

What a FANTASTIC time I had chatting with the fabulous Kalebra. She is wise, funny, thoughtful, multi-talented, successful in life and in business and gorgeous, inside and out.

She's lived her entire life as an artist – and has been successful at it by any measure. I wanted to Chat with her about that, since one of the reasons I initially wanted to do this show is to talk to folks who have found a way to create business and life in  marvelously artful and unconventional ways. Kalebra and her husband +Scott Kelby have certainly done that – and brilliantly!

I wanted to know how it all happened – and how she thinks about and approaches it all. Let's face it – we could've chatted for hours! But in a short time, we covered alot – and you might be surprised by some of her answers.

I'm so thrilled to share the one and only Kalebra Kelby!

The Quietest Space at Midway

—————————————–
I was at Chicago Midway airport Terminal B this morning. It was a zoo. Very few empty seats, many sitting on the floor, hunting for power plugs, with long lines for food and even lines for the bathrooms…

…but there was one area in the terminal that was eerily empty and quiet… this alcove that houses about 16 pay phones (8 on the wall, and about 8 sit-down stations). Only one person was in here… quietly eating breakfast.. of course, no one used one these once-popular devices 🙂

A Place to Contemplate Life

—————————————————-
For this week's #blastfromthepast   I found this cool shot of my mom at an unknown location which looks like a great place to gaze at the valley below and contemplate life.
I'm guessing this was about 1955, perhaps in Northern California.

Lovely Approach

———————————-
It was a beautiful approach to the Sacramento airport just as the front edge of a storm was approaching on Sunday…. quite a change from the weeks of clear-blue skies we've had lately.

Reshared post from +The Photoshop Show

Join Your Hosts +Jan Kabili  and +Ron Clifford   as we bring you  Fine Artist +Chris Meyer   for our 40th Episode of The Photoshop Show

In this hangout, Chris will share some of his source photography from the Four Corners region of the Southwest, and demonstrate how he uses Adobe Camera Raw to tease out their colors and contrast as well as abstract them pure shapes and forms. Chris will also discuss issues such as printing on usual papers and mounting the final works on cradled wooden panels instead of using traditional mats and frames.

After careers in the music and motion graphics industries, Chris Meyer has been turning his attention to fine art. He refers to his approach as “hybrid art” as it combines digital photography and printing with hand-manipulated collage and assemblage.

The live interactive chat will be here http://dbclick.org/1bdT1bJ
