It's time to add your best from 2013 for possible inclusion in the PlusOne Collection book. As always, it's to raise money for charity, and make a darn gorgeous book of some of the best G+ photos from the past year.
  Perhaps my personal favorite from 2013 will appear in this year's edition?

Vikingsholm Between the Storms

This 38-room mansion was built in the 1920s at the edge of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, California.
As the approaching storm was kicking up brisk winds, and snow began to fall, we took the mile-long trek down the trail from the parking area above and enjoyed our own private views of the bay and this stately old home. I doubt the weather would have allowed us to make the trip tomorrow.

This 38-room mansion was built in the 1920s at the edge of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, California.

Snow finally comes to Vikingsholm

  We've been in severe drought conditions in California, but we're finally getting some relief this weekend.
  This is my wonderful wife, at the edge of Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe (Vikingsholm is the 38-room mansion built here in the 1920s).
  After the mile-long hike back up to the parking area, the snow really started coming down in earnest… we may have a foot of it by morning.

We don't often get snow here on our little hill above the Napa Valley, but I enjoyed the short-lived flocking of the remaining dead leaves clinging to my neighbor's Japanese Maple tree yesterday eve… but all was melted away by morning.

Playing with Food

My favorite gorilla… the young and very entertaining Monroe at the +San Diego Zoo Safari Park. His silly antics and naughty behavior has kept me coming back for more. Today was no exception. He was instigating all kinds of trouble and keeping us laughing. Here he is with a treat that he just stole from his Aunt. I don't think he will ever outgrown is humorous ways.
